教育目標 Course Target
本課程介紹古典（18世紀末）至浪漫（19世紀末）音樂。 討論的課題包含當代主要的樂曲形式、風格、曲式結構，及音樂與當時政治、文化、社會背景的關聯。
本課程教科書為Burkholder/Grout/Palisca, A History of Western Music (第八版)，包括本書附上的CDs、樂譜 (anthology of scores)。幾個重要的電子資料庫(如Grove Music Online、Naxos) 將輔助教科書中的內容。
This course introduces classical (late 18th century) to romantic (late 19th century) music. The topics discussed include the main contemporary musical forms, styles, and composition structures, as well as the relationship between music and political, cultural and social backgrounds at that time.
This course textbook is Burkholder/Grout/Palisca, A History of Western Music (8th Edition), and includes CDs and anthology of scores attached to this book. Several important electronic databases (such as Grove Music Online, Naxos) will assist in teaching and teaching.
