簡單來說「學校社會工作」就是將社會工作專業運用在以學校為基礎的生態系統中,協助學生及系統中的人都能得到適當的發展機會。《國民教育法》為學校社會工作進入校園輔導網絡提供了法源依據,也為學校社工啟動了專業制度化的發展契機。學校環境提供社會工作專業一個獨特的運作環境,藉由學校社工師與學校團隊成員及社區生態系統間的資源相互合作,往往能對學生及其所屬的家庭、學校帶來更適切的幫助。
To put it simply, "school social work" means to apply social work profession in a school-based biosystem to help students and people in the system get appropriate development opportunities. The "National Education Law" provides a legal basis for the entry of school social work into the campus network, and also launches a professional institutionalized development machine for school social workers. The school environment provides a unique operating environment for social work. By cooperating with the resources between school social workers, school team members and community ecological systems, it can often bring more appropriate help to students and their families and schools.
