有別於過去，精神疾病患者已不只是在醫院或少數家庭可見，隨著社會的變遷，精神病患愈來愈「社區化」；也因教育的普及，在學校、職場也有機會遇到精神疾病患者。修過了「精神醫學」，相信同學對於精神疾病已有基本的認識。本課程期望從帶同學了解服務對象的處境與需求，進而讓同學清楚精神醫療社會工作師所處的大環境及其角色、功能，另亦能讓同學學習到評估個人及家庭問題的能力，以能為服務對象做出適當的處遇計畫。
In the past, mentally ill patients are no longer visible in hospitals or a few families. With the change of society, mentally ill patients are becoming more and more "communicated"; due to the popularity of education, there is also the opportunity to encounter mentally ill patients in schools and job sites. After practicing "Psychology", I believe that my classmates already have basic understanding of mental illness. This course hopes to learn from the situation and needs of the service object, so that students can understand the overall environment and roles and functions of the mental medical social worker, and also allow students to learn the ability to evaluate personal and family problems so as to make appropriate encounter plans for the service object.
