1.從宏觀的角度來看整個台灣選舉史，是透過長期執政的國民黨，在考慮其政權的「穩定性」、「合法性」、「正當性」之後的產物。台灣人民歷經多年各種大大小小選舉洗禮下，開始享受民主制度。本課程目標之一即在介紹台灣選舉歷史，以及選舉制度對民主化及民主鞏固的貢獻。
2.本課程介紹台灣特有的選舉文化，以實例敘事方式增加趣味性，使學習者能在西方選舉制度之外，更親近的了解真正的台灣選舉真實情況。
3.藉由對於本土選舉文化的了解，使學習者更清楚知道民主運作機制與選舉的連帶關係，進而更珍惜民主的真諦。1. From a macro perspective, the entire Taiwan selection history is a property after considering the "stability", "legality" and "righteousness" of its political power through long-term political governance. After many years of various choices, the people of Taiwan began to enjoy a democratic system. One of the goals of this course is to introduce the history of Taiwan’s selection and the contribution of the selection system to democratization and democracy.
2. This course introduces Taiwan’s unique selection culture, and increases interest through practical examples, so that learners can understand the real situation of Taiwan’s selection more closely beyond the Western selection system.
3. Through understanding of local selection culture, learners can better understand the relationship between democratic operation mechanism and selection, and then cherish the truth of democracy.
