本課程除了對研究法作廣泛的介紹外，並加強統計學的基本原則和方法，以及
統計學在社會科學的運用，期使同學對統計在研究政治現象所扮演的角色有深入的
瞭解。並配合統計軟體的介紹與實作，使學生能夠獨立從事資料分析。第一學期著
重於社會科學的研究法，第二學期著重於資料的分析和統計學實務的研討和實作。
