羅爾斯的《正義論》被譽為二十世紀在道德與政治哲學領域中最重要的著作之一。他在此書中試圖建立一新的道德與政治的理論來取代效益主義原先所占有的支配地位，其目的在為當代民主政治社會建構一個「最合適的道德基礎」。本課程主要透過對此書的導讀，使同學在了解羅爾斯的正義學說之要旨的同時，也能進一步思索其與現今政治社會生活之間的關聯。Rawls's "A Theory of Justice" is regarded as one of the most important works in the field of moral and political philosophy in the twentieth century. In this book, he attempts to establish a new moral and political theory to replace the previously dominant position of utilitarianism, with the purpose of constructing "the most appropriate moral foundation" for contemporary democratic political society. This course mainly uses an introductory reading of this book to enable students to understand the gist of Rawls's theory of justice and at the same time further think about its connection with today's political and social life.
