本課程目標在於,吾人從宋明理學的內聖之學,心性之學講起,以船山為歸結,最後談船山的俟解一書,使學生能有基本的道德思考,蓋因為船山為宋明理學的殿軍,道德感極強,故對於經書的詮釋,也是以道德為主,其本著張子之學,易為君子謀,不為小人謀,故船山教人不是要人趨吉避凶;然吾人所談者不只是船山學,包括心學理學氣學,心學的部分,例如王陽明,王龍溪,羅近溪,這是陽明去世後的學派之區別,近溪屬江右王學,其學宗自然,以破光影為主,孝弟慈等思惟

The purpose of this course is to start with the inner sacred learning of Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism, and start with Chuanshan as the foundation. Finally, we talk about Chuanshan’s waiting for explanation, so that students can have basic moral thinking. Because Chuanshan is the palace of Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism, it has a strong sense of morality, so the commentary on the book is also based on morality. It is based on Zhangzi's learning, which is easy to be a good idea. A gentleman is not a villain, so Chuanshan teaches people not to seek good fortune and avoid misfortune; however, what we are talking about is not just Chuanshan, but also includes the spiritual science and the part of the mind, such as Wang Yangming, Wang Longxi, and Luo Jinxi. This is the difference between the school after Yangming's death. The near-stream is the King of Jiangyou. The school naturally focuses on breaking light and shadow, and filial piety and brothers and kindness.
