本課程目標在針對博物館與文化的關係進行專題研究。
1.探究博物館與社區互動、社區文化教育的關係。
2.探討21世紀快速發展中與地方文化緊密結合的社區博物館之緣起、生態博物館,與博物館之社群參與,使學生瞭解晚近博物館類型的衍生概念、內容與重要性。
3.探討博物館對文化再現對知識傳遞的影響。The goal of this course is to conduct special research on the relationship between museums and culture.

博物館與美術館是歷史與社會文化的產物。本課程將博物館(museums)、博物館學(museology)與博物館誌(museography)放在社會文化的脈絡中,視博物館/美術館及其相關社會事實為一個整體,通過內在的、歷史的、地域的、比較的、以及實踐的詮釋觀點,依序探討相關博物館學的主題。
