本課程針對社會科學研究中關於理論建構、統計方法與研究步驟等三面向之間
的關係作一系統性的介紹。課程內容包含呈現基礎計量研究概念的四組單元:
研究方法概念回顧、基礎統計學、迴歸分析,與邏輯迴歸。此門課重視對以上
四單元相關概念的理解與應用,而非複雜的統計技術。本課程故具有以下核心
教學目標:(一)培養同學了解適合量化研究法的研究問題、(二)訓練同學
閱讀與理解計量社會學論文的能力、(三)增進同學對統計概念與分析的實作
能力,與(四)培育同學對基礎計量方法的熟悉度,並打好來日學習新興計量
