本課程目的在於訓練學生正確使用統計方法，應用於業界或其它研究領域之相關資料分析，並加強統計理論與方法之相關知識。The purpose of this course is to train students to use statistical methods correctly, apply them to relevant data analysis in industry or other research fields, and to strengthen relevant knowledge of statistical theories and methods.
統計學除了理論與方法的探討外，亦兼具推廣應用之功能，本課程主要訓練博士生如何判別、診斷實際數據之分析方法，並加強其對統計分析之能力。
In addition to the discussion of theory and methods, statistics also has the function of promotion and application. This course mainly trains doctoral students how to identify and diagnose actual data analysis methods, and strengthen their ability in statistical analysis.
