本課程的目標在透過對西方哲學史上主要代表人物形上學思想的探究，輔以相關原典的閱讀，以使在職專班學生能深入掌握這門學問的思想之奧義。

The goal of this course is to enable in-service students to deeply grasp the profound thoughts of this subject through the exploration of the metaphysical thoughts of the main representatives in the history of Western philosophy, supplemented by the reading of relevant original texts.
