教育目標 Course Target

  當代學界已有若干中國佛教倫理的研究成果,但其中的立論與觀點多以「心性論」作為禪宗倫理甚或是中國佛教倫理的理論基礎。雖然將「心性論」視為是禪宗倫理甚或是中國佛教倫理的理論基礎的論述理路看起來是合理的,相當程度也符合禪宗思想的內涵。但本課程將引導同學深入反思禪宗豐富的哲學內涵中,是否僅有心性論作為禪宗倫理的理論基礎可被合理的接受,是否還有其他可以作為建構禪宗倫理論述的理論?   因此,本課程的目標在於以禪宗文獻與義理為基礎,引導同學深入且完備地把握禪宗倫理的思想基礎,逐步反思「心性論」作為禪宗倫理之理論基礎的論述或觀點是否完備?在「心性論」之外,禪宗思想是否有其它與「心性論」平行,甚至是更重要的思想或理論可用以建構禪宗倫理論述或更強的論證?最後,批判地審視禪宗倫理思想基礎,展開禪宗倫理的哲學論述及其特色,如果可能的話,並藉此論述或回應當代的倫理議題。There have been a number of research results on Chinese Buddhist ethics in contemporary academic circles, but most of the arguments and viewpoints are based on "mind-nature theory" as the theoretical basis of Zen ethics or even Chinese Buddhist ethics. Although it seems reasonable to regard "theory of mind" as the theoretical basis of Zen ethics or even Chinese Buddhist ethics, it is also consistent with the connotation of Zen thought to a certain extent. However, this course will guide students to deeply reflect on the rich philosophical connotation of Zen. Is the theory of mind the only one that can be reasonably accepted as the theoretical basis of Zen ethics? Are there other theories that can be used to construct Zen ethics? Therefore, the goal of this course is to guide students to deeply and completely grasp the ideological foundation of Zen ethics based on Zen literature and doctrine, and to gradually reflect on whether the "theory of mind" as the theoretical basis of Zen ethics is complete? In addition to "Theory of Mind", are there other ideas or theories in Zen that are parallel to "Theory of Mind", or even more important, that can be used to construct a Zen ethical statement or a stronger argument? Finally, critically examine the foundation of Zen ethical thought, develop the philosophical discussion and characteristics of Zen ethics, and, if possible, use this to discuss or respond to contemporary ethical issues.
