當代學界已有若干中國佛教倫理的研究成果,但其中的立論與觀點多以「心性論」作為禪宗倫理甚或是中國佛教倫理的理論基礎。雖然將「心性論」視為是禪宗倫理甚或是中國佛教倫理的理論基礎的論述理路看起來是合理的,相當程度也符合禪宗思想的內涵。但本課程將引導同學深入反思禪宗豐富的哲學內涵中,是否僅有心性論作為禪宗倫理的理論基礎可被合理的接受,是否還有其他可以作為建構禪宗倫理論述的理論?
因此,本課程的目標在於以禪宗文獻與義理為基礎,引導同學深入且完備地把握禪宗倫理的思想基礎,逐步反思「心性論」作為禪宗倫理之理論基礎的論述或觀點是否完備?在「心性論」之外,禪宗思想是否有其它與「心性論」平行,甚至是更重要的思想或理論可用以建構禪宗倫理論述或更強的論證?最後,批判地審視禪宗倫理思想基礎,展開禪宗倫理的哲學論述及其特色,如果可能的話,並藉此論述或回應當代的倫理議題。There have been several research results on Chinese Buddhist ethics in the contemporary academic community, but the arguments and views mostly use "mind-nature theory" as the theoretical basis of Chinese Buddhist ethics. Although the "mind-nature theory" is considered to be a theoretical basis for the theory of Chinese Buddhist ethics, or even Chinese Buddhist ethics, it seems reasonable, and to a certain extent it also conforms to the connotation of the thought of Chinese. Therefore, the purpose of this course is to take the priest texts and principles as the basis, guide students to grasp the ideological basis of priest ethics in depth and completeness, and gradually reflect on whether the "mind-nature theory" is the basis of priest ethics as the basis of priest ethics? In addition to the "mind-nature theory", are there any other parallel or even more important ideas or theories that can be used to construct a maternal theory or stronger evidence? Finally, critically review the foundations of clan ethics, and develop the philosophical arguments and characteristics of clan ethics, and, if possible, use this to describe or respond to contemporary ethics issues.
