本課程以鴉片戰爭以來近代中國外交史為範圍，依各主題介紹相關主要研究成果，解釋架構及爭論重點。並介紹主要史料，引導學生使用一手外交檔案，練習撰寫報告。希望能藉此增進學生對近代中國外交史的理解，加強英文閱讀能力，學習使用一手史料，奠定進一步研究的基礎。This course takes the diplomatic history of modern China since the Opium War as its scope. It introduces the relevant main research results, explanation structure and key points of debate according to each theme. It also introduces main historical materials, guides students to use first-hand diplomatic archives, and practices writing reports. It is hoped that this can enhance students' understanding of modern Chinese diplomatic history, strengthen their English reading ability, learn to use first-hand historical materials, and lay the foundation for further research.
