本課程從文學史、文化史、散文選讀等方向，建構晚明文學的認知，尤其是小品文的閱讀與理解。
透過晚明小品的學習，可以讓學生了解
（1）晚明文學的發展概貌
（2）晚明小品文的風格與特色
（3）晚明文人的生活與思想。This course builds the understanding of late Ming literature from the aspects of literary history, cultural history, and prose selection, especially the reading and understanding of short essays.
Through the study of late Ming Dynasty sketches, students can understand
(1) Overview of the development of literature in the late Ming Dynasty
(2) The style and characteristics of essays in the late Ming Dynasty
(3) The life and thoughts of literati in the late Ming Dynasty.
