This course is designed to study some of the most famous stories of the Old Testament Bible and how they may be of practical help in learning English. The course will help students to exercise their English reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills as they read and discuss the stories. Classes will include discussion and some stories will be supplemented with videos. Students will also perform a drama based on a story of their choice.

Reference Material: The Chinese-English New Testaments supplied by Tunghai University to Freshman students. The Old Testament stories are often referred to again in the New Testament. The New Testament often explains details about the Old Testament stories. However, you will not be tested on anything in the New Testament. This is only an Old Testament course.
