文化是一個族群與民族的傳承下來的生活方式與精神,依其食、衣、住、行、育、樂有其不同形式的體現。文化迥異與設計表現,會因人、時、地域不同而衍生出不同的變化性。從日常生活中所需,我們創造諸多器物(產品)來解決生活問題。本課程探討不同文化之內涵所產生之器物(產品)造型之間的關連性,因此造型與設計是一體的,而美感與設計息息相關不可分。「美」是一個很抽象的字,亦是一門深奧的學問,簡易而談,西方美學將美的定義於黃金比例,而東方將美學存在表現於虛實、陰陽之間,但不約而同的是取之於自然,師法於自然之『美』。 對美學的培養必須學習敏銳的觀察力,透過美學原理與法則的認識,體悟生活細節,從中學習分辨低俗與高雅、典雅與流行等。提升審美能力、思辨能力與創造力,進而引導學生進入具有美感、文化與設計的生活中。經由對「文化與設計」的基礎入門了解,應用在生活美學與產品設計中,尋找文化與人的價值。透過課程的學習與培養,可以讓學生發現問題,透過設計案例觀察、分析、判斷、尋求至真至善至美之解決能力與邏輯思考能力的訓練。進而培養學生們的基礎美學能力並將潛意識之設計本能與創造力發掘出來。Culture is the way of life and spirit inherited by an ethnic group and nation, which is reflected in different forms depending on its food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment. Cultural differences and design expressions will lead to different variations depending on people, time, and regions. From the needs of daily life, we create many utensils (products) to solve life problems. This course explores the correlation between the shapes of artifacts (products) produced by the connotations of different cultures. Therefore, shape and design are integrated, and beauty and design are closely related and inseparable. "Beauty" is a very abstract word, and it is also a profound knowledge. To put it simply, Western aesthetics defines beauty in the golden ratio, while the East expresses aesthetic existence in the relationship between virtuality and reality, yin and yang, but invariably it is based on Naturally, learn from the "beauty" of nature. To cultivate aesthetics, we must learn to have keen observation, understand the principles and laws of aesthetics, understand the details of life, and learn to distinguish between vulgarity and elegance, elegance and fashion, etc. Improve aesthetic ability, critical thinking ability and creativity, and then guide students to enter a life with beauty, culture and design. Through the basic introductory understanding of "culture and design", apply it in life aesthetics and product design to find the value of culture and people. Through the study and training of the course, students can discover problems, observe, analyze, judge and seek the most true, perfect and beautiful solutions and logical thinking skills through the design of cases. This will further develop students’ basic aesthetic abilities and tap into their subconscious design instincts and creativity.
