本課程主要教學目標在使學生對東海大學校史有系統性的認識，透過校史資料的蒐集及人物採訪等實際操作與撰寫，使學生掌握校史及歷史書寫的具體方法與程序。因此本課程的教學目標有以下數點：
1.認識及理解東海大學的歷史與立校精神。
2.熟習相關校史資料的蒐集方式與歷史書寫的方法及理論。
3.掌握校史編撰及人物採訪的具體程序。
4.訓練獨立思考、書寫、探討與解決問題的能力。The main teaching objectives of this course are to enable students to have a systematic understanding of the school history of Donghai University, and through actual operations and writing such as collection of school history materials and character visits, students can master the specific methods and procedures of school history and historical writing. Therefore, the teaching objectives of this course have the following points:
1. Understand and understand the history and school-based spirit of Donghai University.
2. Be familiar with the collection methods and historical writing methods and theories of related proofreading history data.
3. Master the specific procedures for school history editing and character visits.
4. Training the ability to think independently, write, explore and solve problems.
