Understanding Society Via Films
教育目標 Course Target
這是一門以閱讀影片（劇情片以及紀錄片）為手段，理解當代社會與社會學重要議題的課程。內容包括了六個當代重要社會（學）議題，包括知識與權力、現代都市、階級矛盾與衝突、當代資本主義、少數民族生存狀況，與不均衡發展。上課的方式是閱讀影片，分組討論，以及任課教師的講述與帶領討論。
準時出席並專注閱讀影片（不是「看電影」），作下你的筆記，並於課餘做必要的補充與發展。記筆記的目的是培養你觀察與紀錄重點的能力，實際上也供分組討論以及考試準備之用。筆記需記錄於一單獨的筆記簿上，每次上課都要攜帶。
This is a course that uses film reading (drama and documentary) as a means to understand important issues in contemporary society and sociology. The content includes six important contemporary social (academic) issues, including knowledge and power, modern cities, class contradictions and conflicts, contemporary capitalism, the living conditions of ethnic minorities, and uneven development. Classes are conducted through video reading, group discussion, and teacher's narration and discussion.
Attend on time and focus on reading the video (not "watching the movie"), take your notes, and make necessary additions and developments after class. The purpose of taking notes is to cultivate your ability to observe and record key points. It is also used for group discussions and exam preparation. Notes need to be recorded in a separate notebook, which must be brought to each class.
