本課程經由各種台灣民俗藝術的介紹、欣賞與探討，使修習者對台灣常民及原住民的生活文化有具體而深層的體會，經由認知基礎培養民俗藝術題材的鑑賞素養，進而對台灣本土文化的發展建立宏觀而包容的認知態度，以擴大人文視野和襟懷。以此培養學生求真、篤信、力行、宏通的基本素養，達成博雅教育目標。This course is introduced, appreciated and explored by various Taiwanese folk arts, so that practitioners can have a concrete and profound understanding of the living culture of Taiwanese people and indigenous peoples. Through the knowledge and basic cultivation of folk art themes, we will further promote the local culture of Taiwan. Develop and establish a grand and inclusive awareness to expand humanistic vision and mind. In this way, students can cultivate the basic elements of seeking truth, trust, practice and ambition, and achieve the goal of liberal arts education.
以台灣常民和原住民生活文化中的藝術領域為主，並作焦點探討，包括：傳統工藝、民間技藝、戲曲歌謠、建築藝術、民間信仰活動藝術及原住民藝術等
