本課程經由各種台灣民俗藝術的介紹、欣賞與探討，使修習者對台灣常民及原住民的生活文化有具體而深層的體會，經由認知基礎培養民俗藝術題材的鑑賞素養，進而對台灣本土文化的發展建立宏觀而包容的認知態度，以擴大人文視野和襟懷。以此培養學生求真、篤信、力行、宏通的基本素養，達成博雅教育目標。Through the introduction, appreciation and discussion of various Taiwanese folk arts, this course enables practitioners to have a concrete and in-depth understanding of the life culture of Taiwanese ordinary people and aboriginal people. Through the cognitive foundation, it can cultivate the appreciation of folk art themes, and then gain an understanding of Taiwan's local culture. Develop and establish a macro and inclusive cognitive attitude to expand humanistic vision and mind. In this way, students can cultivate the basic qualities of seeking truth, believing, practicing, and making great achievements, and achieve the goal of liberal arts education.
以台灣常民和原住民生活文化中的藝術領域為主，並作焦點探討，包括：傳統工藝、民間技藝、戲曲歌謠、建築藝術、民間信仰活動藝術及原住民藝術等
