基本設計 是景觀設計的準備課程。
根本上， 景觀設計是空間設計；
空間容積與人在其中的身體經驗是其重點，
空間秩序與身臨其境的美感是其根本。
景觀設計 不是自然地景或自然美的寫實描摹，不是「造景」
而是依據人的目的與理念所做的抽象思考與表現。
景觀設計 與其它學科在學習上最大的不同，在於理智上的瞭解之外，更有賴於動手做﹝繪圖與作模型﹞、藉手思考以及主動探索、積極嘗試的學習習慣。
Basic Design is a preparatory course for landscape design.
Fundamentally, landscape design is space design;
The volume of space and people’s physical experience in it are its focus.
Spatial order and immersive beauty are its fundamentals.
Landscape design is not a realistic depiction of natural landscapes or natural beauty, nor is it “landscape creation.”
Rather, it is abstract thinking and expression based on human purposes and ideas.
The biggest difference in learning between landscape design and other disciplines is that in addition to intellectual understanding, it relies more on hands-on learning (drawing and model making), hands-on thinking, and learning habits of active exploration and experimentation.
