圖學是設計領域中的基本技能亦是設計師與製造者之間的工業語言。基本工程圖學係透過系統性的方法教授學生製圖,期望學生能以具體的方法將設計構想以圖面的方式呈現,並且須遵守國際製圖標準所訂定的原則,以達到工業語言的一致性。透過圖學的學習,除了培養學生在工業設計的製圖能力外,更有助於奠定表現技法及電腦繪圖的基礎。Graphics is a basic skill in the design field and an industrial language between designers and manufacturers.
