由於金融專業進入門檻極高，但是影響卻無所不在無所。希冀藉由課程介紹現代金融社會的內涵，以分析何以金融成為資源分配之至高點。且伴隨著全球化的變遷，對政治、經濟、社會造成全面、穿透性的影響與衝擊。
本課程第一部分著重貨幣之緣起、形成與變遷，以及如何貫穿現代社會。第二部份貨幣加入時間與空間以及社會經濟活動等因素後，所形成的金融社會極其關連。第三部份，則是習約俗成的經濟活動，經由國家－法律的涉入，建構而成的遊戲規則－金融法規，亦即所謂的現代金融市場、國家的貨幣政策等。
課程進行方式：
包括演講、討論以及學生對案例的課堂報告，修課學生於課堂報告時需要準備簡報綱要與評論資料，同時需要於每週課前閱讀完指定教材，並且積極收集相關的補充資料。課程重視學生在課堂上的參與討論與分析經驗現象，旨在訓練社會系學生增加對金融專業領域的認識，利用金融與社會的不同議題去反思自身與世界之間複雜且緊密的連結關係，除了關注所處台灣金融體制的轉型與衝擊，同時也能掌握金融全球化對台灣的政治、經濟、文化所造成的影響。Because the entry barrier for the financial profession is extremely high, the impact is ubiquitous. It is hoped that the course will introduce the connotation of modern financial society and analyze why finance has become the highest point of resource allocation. And with the changes of globalization, it has had a comprehensive and penetrating influence and impact on politics, economy, and society.
The first part of this course focuses on the origin, formation and changes of money, and how it continues through modern society. The second part is that after adding factors such as time and space and social and economic activities, the financial society formed by money is extremely relevant. The third part is the rules of the game-financial regulations constructed through the involvement of the state-law in customary economic activities, which are the so-called modern financial markets, national monetary policies, etc.
How the course is conducted:
It includes speeches, discussions, and class reports on cases by students. Students taking the course need to prepare briefing outlines and review materials for class reports. They also need to read the designated teaching materials before class each week and actively collect relevant supplementary information. The course attaches great importance to students' participation in discussions and analysis of empirical phenomena in class. It aims to train sociology students to increase their understanding of the financial professional field and use different topics of finance and society to reflect on the complex and close connections between themselves and the world. In addition to Pay attention to the transformation and impact of Taiwan's financial system, and at the same time understand the impact of financial globalization on Taiwan's politics, economy, and culture.
