這也許是短時間內將在社會系開的最後一堂課了。很高興我能從自己的經驗出發。身為大家的學姊,我其實是美術系畢業的。看到我的學經歷,大家都會很好奇,究竟是什麼因緣,讓我念到了社會學的博士。我常說:當時我需要一種知識來解答我生命中的疑惑,結果,我發現社會學的特質最深得我心。
這幾年,我一面鍛鍊自己的社會學專業,藏在心底最深的動機卻是如何回答我自己的生命遭遇,但我並沒有拿這個當成我的博士論文題目。
這樣的初衷也許和很多社會系的老師不太一樣,可能也不會是你和社會學的故事。但是,我很高興能跟你分享,原來社會學的個性這麼迷人,竟能這樣地吸引一個藝術家,投入社會學的專業領域。This may be the last class that will be held in the sociology department in a short period of time. Glad I can speak from my own experience. As your senior student, I actually graduated from the Fine Arts Department. After seeing my academic experience, everyone will be curious as to what led me to study for a PhD in Sociology. I often say: At that time, I needed a kind of knowledge to answer the doubts in my life. As a result, I found that the characteristics of sociology were the most profound for me.
In the past few years, while I was practicing my sociology major, the deepest motivation in my heart was how to answer my own life experiences, but I did not take this as the topic of my doctoral thesis.
This original intention may be different from that of many teachers in the sociology department, and it may not be your story with sociology. However, I am very happy to share with you that the personality of sociology is so charming that it can attract an artist to the professional field of sociology.
