教育目標 Course Target

藝術在社會中的發展,並非是純粹美學的課題,而是涉及許多社會條件、文化背景、物質文明的基礎,才得以創造出各時期的藝術結晶。近代西方藝術社會學的知識形成,是一點一滴從傳統哲學領域中的美學之社會學轉向,以及傳統藝術史之社會學轉向中逐漸累積而成的:法國藝術社會學家N. Heinich曾將藝術社會學的知識發展歷程,依世代的分野劃分為三階段:(一)考察藝術與社會的對立與互動關係(art and society);(二)不再視藝術與社會為對立面,而是將藝術放入社會之中,研究藝術發展的社會脈絡(art in society); (三)將藝術界本身視為一個社會來考察(art as society)。本課程著重探討第二階段的藝術社會史脈絡,不同於傳統藝術史偏重於藝術家及其藝術風格的介紹,本課程在論述各時期的藝術風格之餘,更致力於探討各時代的社會背景、價值觀,以及社會制度與社會組織等條件,對於藝術風格所帶來的影響,以及藝術文化對於社會產生的衝擊與效應。本學期的課程由西方的藝術史開展,並遠溯及史前時期與埃及藝術,至十七世紀巴洛克藝術為止。本課程是系列藝術社會史課程的首部曲,下學期將從洛可可之後盛行的新古典主義開始探討其社會史,並逐步邁向當代藝術的社會史研究,下學期的課程將探討巴洛克藝術以降的藝術社會史。此一課程設計,旨在讓有志於研習藝術社會學的同學們,能同時打下藝術史、社會史與社會學的根基,並在將來深入學習藝術社會學理論,考時察當代藝術社會現象,能擁有紮實的知識基礎與相關學養。The development of art in society is not a purely aesthetic subject, but involves many social conditions, cultural backgrounds, and the basis of material civilization, which enables the creation of artistic crystallization in each period. The knowledge formation of modern Western art sociology was gradually accumulated bit by bit from the sociological turn of aesthetics in the field of traditional philosophy and the sociological turn of traditional art history: French art sociologist N. Heinich once The knowledge development process of art sociology is divided into three stages according to the division of generations: (1) Examining the opposition and interaction between art and society (art and society); (2) No longer viewing art and society as opposites, but Put art into society and study the social context of art development (art in society); (3) Examine the art world itself as a society (art as society). This course focuses on the social history of art in the second stage. Different from traditional art history, which focuses on the introduction of artists and their artistic styles, this course not only discusses the artistic styles of each period, but also focuses on exploring the social background, The impact of values, social systems, social organizations and other conditions on artistic style, as well as the impact and effect of art culture on society. This semester's course starts from the history of Western art, and goes back to prehistoric times and Egyptian art, to Baroque art in the 17th century. This course is the first in a series of courses on the social history of art. The next semester will begin with the study of the social history of neoclassicism that prevailed after the Rococo, and gradually move towards the study of the social history of contemporary art. The course in the next semester will explore the social history of Baroque art and beyond. The social history of art. This course is designed to allow students who are interested in studying art sociology to lay a foundation in art history, social history and sociology at the same time, and in the future, they can further study the theory of art sociology and examine contemporary art social phenomena.
