教育目標 Course Target

藝術在社會中的發展,並非是純粹美學的課題,而是涉及許多社會條件、文化背景、物質文明的基礎,才得以創造出各時期的藝術結晶。近代西方藝術社會學的知識形成,是一點一滴從傳統哲學領域中的美學之社會學轉向,以及傳統藝術史之社會學轉向中逐漸累積而成的:法國藝術社會學家N. Heinich曾將藝術社會學的知識發展歷程,依世代的分野劃分為三階段:(一)考察藝術與社會的對立與互動關係(art and society);(二)不再視藝術與社會為對立面,而是將藝術放入社會之中,研究藝術發展的社會脈絡(art in society); (三)將藝術界本身視為一個社會來考察(art as society)。本課程著重探討第二階段的藝術社會史脈絡,不同於傳統藝術史偏重於藝術家及其藝術風格的介紹,本課程在論述各時期的藝術風格之餘,更致力於探討各時代的社會背景、價值觀,以及社會制度與社會組織等條件,對於藝術風格所帶來的影響,以及藝術文化對於社會產生的衝擊與效應。本學期的課程由西方的藝術史開展,並遠溯及史前時期與埃及藝術,至十七世紀巴洛克藝術為止。本課程是系列藝術社會史課程的首部曲,下學期將從洛可可之後盛行的新古典主義開始探討其社會史,並逐步邁向當代藝術的社會史研究,下學期的課程將探討巴洛克藝術以降的藝術社會史。此一課程設計,旨在讓有志於研習藝術社會學的同學們,能同時打下藝術史、社會史與社會學的根基,並在將來深入學習藝術社會學理論,考時察當代藝術社會現象,能擁有紮實的知識基礎與相關學養。The development of art in society is not a subject of pure aesthetics, but a foundation involving many social conditions, cultural backgrounds, and material civilization, which is able to create artistic crystals of various periods. The formation of knowledge in modern Western art society is a gradual accumulation of the transformation of aesthetic society in the field of traditional philosophy and the transformation of social science in traditional art history: French art society scientist N. Heinich once divided the intellectual development process of artistic society into three stages according to the generational plan: (1) Examining the opposition and interaction between art and society (art and society); (II) No longer regard art as opposites to society, but instead put art into society and study the social sphere of artistic development; (III) regard the art world itself as a society for investigation (art as society). This course focuses on the second stage of art social history. Unlike traditional art history, which focuses on the introduction of artists and their artistic styles, this course discusses the artistic styles of various periods, and is more committed to exploring the social background, value view of each era, as well as the social system and social organization conditions, the impact on artistic styles, and the impact and effect of artistic culture on society. The course of this study is developed from Western art history, and goes back to prehistoric periods and Egyptian art until the seventeenth century Baroque art. This course is the first part of a series of art social history courses. In the next period, the neoclassical theory that prevailed after Rococo will be explored, and gradually move towards the social history research of contemporary art. In the next period, the course will explore the social history of art since Baroque art. This course design aims to enable students who are interested in studying art society to lay the foundations of art history, social history and social science at the same time, and to learn artistic social theory in depth, examine contemporary art society phenomena, and have a solid intellectual foundation and related learning.
