搖滾樂是西方世界重要的音樂形態，但他不單單只是音樂，更是西方重要的文化內涵之一。而搖滾樂中許多的議題、意識形態都與政治息息相關。因此，這堂課希望能以搖滾樂為切入點，透過聆賞音樂、了解搖滾的過程，開起關於政治議題的討論。更進一步，讓同學對當代的政治思潮像是反戰運動、無政府主義、女性主義、同性戀人權、藥物文化、公平貿易等等有更多的認識。Rock music is an important music form in the Western world, but it is not only music, but also one of the important cultural connotations of the West. Many issues and ideologies in rock music are closely related to politics. Therefore, this class hopes to use rock music as an entry point to start discussions on political issues through the process of listening to music and understanding rock music. Furthermore, students will have a better understanding of contemporary political trends such as the anti-war movement, anarchism, feminism, gay human rights, drug culture, fair trade, etc.
本課程以搖滾樂作為媒介來介紹當代政治思想。由於搖滾樂是流行音樂中，廣受歡迎的形式，藉由搖滾樂的發展及演變，結合當代政治思想的演進，除了可以提昇學生興趣外，也達到介紹當代政治思想的目標。
This course uses rock music as a medium to introduce contemporary political thought. Since rock music is a popular form of popular music, through the development and evolution of rock music, combined with the evolution of contemporary political thought, it can not only enhance students' interest, but also achieve the goal of introducing contemporary political thought.
