本課程旨在提供修課學生了解機率與統計的基本觀念及其應用,並訓練學生具備使用機率與統計的知識解決科學與工程領域問題之能力。此外,本課程講授內容除了機率及統計的專業知識,將從實驗室品質驗證、工廠品管及民調等應用面融入倫理及科學等現代公民核心素養。在倫理素養方面,期能培育學生認識日常生活與專業情境中所常遇到的倫理議題,進而運用專業知識、道德推理及理性判斷來面對倫理議題。在科學素養方面,期能培育學生瞭解科學產生之效果及其相應限制,具備正視科學相關社會影響的態度,進而願意參與科學相關公共議題之討論、反思及抉擇。This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts and applications of probability and statistics, and to train students to have the ability to use the knowledge of probability and statistics to solve problems in the fields of science and engineering. In addition, in addition to the professional knowledge of probability and statistics, the teaching content of this course will also integrate the core competencies of modern citizens such as ethics and science from application aspects such as laboratory quality verification, factory quality control and public opinion polling. In terms of ethical literacy, it is expected to cultivate students' understanding of ethical issues commonly encountered in daily life and professional situations, and then use professional knowledge, moral reasoning and rational judgment to face ethical issues. In terms of scientific literacy, it is expected to cultivate students' understanding of the effects of science and its corresponding limitations, the attitude of facing up to the social impact of science, and the willingness to participate in the discussion, reflection and decision-making of science-related public issues.
機率與統計是一門針對工程與科學的重要基礎課程。本課程首先將幫助修課學生建立機率與統計的基本概念;接著,介紹隨機變數、多種離散與連續的機率分佈及隨機變數的函數等;最後,介紹基本抽樣分佈與資料敘述、單樣本與多樣本的推定方法及單樣本與多樣本的假定檢驗。
Probability and Statistics is an important foundational course for engineering and science. This course will first help students establish the basic concepts of probability and statistics; then, it will introduce random variables, various discrete and continuous probability distributions, and functions of random variables; finally, it will introduce basic sampling distribution and data description, single sample and diversity This inference method and single-sample and multi-sample hypothesis testing.
