本課程開授主要目的在於培養學生面對及解決環境問題中必要的跨領域思維，內容包括檢視環境問題背後的社會與科學因素，並探索其中科學、科技、環境與社會各界間的相互關係。本課程一方面初步介紹環境社會學各項發展理論，另一方面藉由介紹實際的台灣與全球環境問題，希望學生對環境問題的社會科學面向有初步的概念。The main purpose of this course is to cultivate the cross-disciplinary thinking necessary for students to face and solve environmental problems. The content includes examining the social and scientific factors behind environmental problems and exploring the interrelationships between science, technology, environment and society. On the one hand, this course provides a preliminary introduction to various development theories of environmental sociology. On the other hand, by introducing actual Taiwan and global environmental issues, it is hoped that students will have a preliminary concept of the social science aspects of environmental issues.

This course aims to cultivate students' interdisciplinary thinking in the study of environmental issues and explore the interrelationships between science, technology, environment and society. Content includes examining the social and scientific factors behind environmental problems and exploring the role of science in them (either creating or solving these problems). This course explores various development theories of environmental sociology and introduces actual Taiwanese and global environmental issues on the other hand. It is expected that students will have a preliminary concept of the social science aspects of environmental issues.
