本課程目標在於使學生能有基本的道德思考,主要以宋明理學為主,主要人物有船山,朱子等等,蓋因為船山為宋明理學的殿軍,道德感極強,故對於易學的詮釋,也是以易傳為主,易為君子謀,不為小人謀,故船山易學不是要人趨吉避凶;船山學對於四書五經都有涉及,對於學生的中哲提升有其幫助;又對於船山的禮記章句做一詮釋The goal of this course is to enable students to have basic moral thinking. 本課之目的在讓哲學系學士班同學在經過數年的哲學基礎訓練後，能在中國哲學之專題上對所學的內容與方法作綜合的應用，即就哲學的一個專題來閱讀與思考，並寫成報告，可以為日後進一步的研究奠定基礎。中國哲學的專題包括：（1）先秦道家哲學；（2）先秦儒家哲學；（3）兩漢哲學；（4）魏晉哲學；（5）隋唐佛學；（6）宋明理學；（7）近現代中國哲學。授課教師可就任一專題設計課程。
The purpose of this course is to enable students in the bachelor's degree class of the Department of Philosophy to comprehensively apply the content and methods they have learned on the topic of Chinese philosophy after several years of basic training in philosophy, that is, to read and think about a topic in philosophy. , and write a report, which can lay the foundation for further research in the future.
