２）了解語言是什麼，語言與社會・文化的關係（母語與國語的關係、語言的多樣性、語言的力量、語言的形象、語言・人的越境）
３）思考何謂語言能力、溝通能力，思考自己為何學習外語、要學習到什麼程度？
４）了解何謂溝通、什麼是溝通問題（發生於母語話者間的、外語話者與母語話者間的、外語話者間的溝通問題）1) Understand what is studied in various fields of linguistics (pragmatics, sociolinguistics...)
2) Understand what language is and the relationship between language and society and culture (the relationship between mother tongue and national language, the diversity of language, the power of language, the image of language, the cross-border of language and people)
3) Think about what language ability and communication ability are, why do you want to learn a foreign language, and to what extent do you want to learn it?
4) Understand what communication is and what communication problems are (communication problems that occur between native speakers, between foreign language speakers and native speakers, and between foreign language speakers)
本課程與《表象文化概論》《社會文化概論》並列，為本系必修基礎課程之一。這門課程主要目的在幫助學生了解語言學、溝通學研究之相關基礎知識外，亦讓學生透過思考理解何謂語言能力、溝通能力，及自已為何學習語言等議題。建立學生語言學習的基本態度，並進而發現生活周遭有關溝通的問題點。
This course, along with "Introduction to Representational Culture" and "Introduction to Social Culture", is one of the required basic courses in this department. The main purpose of this course is to help students understand the relevant basic knowledge of linguistics and communication studies, and also to allow students to think through issues such as understanding what language ability, communication ability is, and why they learn languages. Establish students' basic attitude towards language learning and then discover communication-related problems around them in life.
