教育目標 Course Target

歐洲近代,自啟蒙運動到歐盟整合,歷經法國大革命、急速工業化、民族主義運動、兩次大戰以、核武競賽的冷戰,以至今日的歐盟整合。在這250年裡,歐洲人用他們的歷史思想做出了不同的時代診斷;那些歷史思想表達最清晰的地方是他們的史學作品。本課程的目標在分析歷史作品,藉以瞭解這250年的變化;而且將從英國、法國以及德國三個不同發展模式的民族國家,瞭解他們歷史思考方式與所提出歷史問題的異同。 歷史學今天早已成為全世界大學裡理所當然的一門科系;正好在這個250年裡,歐洲歷史學留下了很清楚的“科學化”與 “制度化“ 的發展痕跡,這也將是本課程講述的現象。Modern Europe, from the Enlightenment to EU integration, has gone through the French Revolution, rapid industrialization, nationalist movements, the two World Wars, the Cold War in the nuclear arms race, and even today's EU integration. During these 250 years, Europeans used their historical thoughts to make different diagnoses of the times; the clearest expression of those historical thoughts is in their historical works. The goal of this course is to analyze historical works to understand the changes in the past 250 years; and from three nation-states with different development models, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, to understand the similarities and differences in their historical thinking methods and the historical questions they raised. History has long become a natural subject in universities around the world; precisely during these 250 years, European history has left clear traces of its "scientific" and "institutionalized" development, which will also be the subject of this course narrated phenomenon.
