The course is to help students build up basic ability in analyzing Chinese or English works and their corresponding translated versions. All this practice through classroom discussion works toward the most important issues in the field of translation: what makes a good translation? In order to achieve this goal, a wide range of good works in various genres will be introduced and dealt with in depth.
