藉由研讀韓愈、柳宗元的散文作品，瞭解唐代古文運動之內涵與兩人在古文運動中的地位。並從文學與思想兩方面探討作品，以期許增進自身對韓、柳散文藝術之欣賞能力，進而培養閱讀中國古典散文之能力，以及認識兩人在唐代乃至整個中國思想史上的位置。By studying the prose works of Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan, we can understand the connotation of the ancient prose movement in the Tang Dynasty and their positions in the ancient prose movement. He also discusses the works from both the literary and ideological aspects, hoping to enhance his appreciation of the prose art of Han and Liu, and then cultivate his ability to read Chinese classical prose, as well as understand their positions in the Tang Dynasty and even the entire Chinese intellectual history.
