論文設計（ thesis design）是審定建築碩士學位的依據之一，為研究生獨立提出，並在老師指導下完成的設計。論文設計包含提案、設計與論述文本三部份，提案為設計的前段作業，除了陳述設計的議題、建立相關的研究與確立設計的意圖和範圍外，必須有完整的計畫內容（program）；設計則是將計畫的內容透過建築的操作執行為一具體的成果，而論述文本則是最後將所有過程與成果整合成足以完整論述的設計說明。
完備的論文設計應具備以下條件：
1.議題明確的主題（particular subject）
2.翔實的研究內容（substantiality）
3.獨特的觀點或創見（specific view or originality）
4.作品達到專業訓練的水準與完整度（professional quality）Thesis design is one of the basis for approving the degree of architecture masters. It is independently proposed for graduate students and completed under the guidance of teachers. The design of the paper includes three parts: proposal, design and discussion text. The proposal is the first stage of the design. In addition to stating the design topic, establishing relevant research and confirming the design concept and scope, there must be a complete programming content (program); the design is to execute the content of the project into a specific result through the operation of the building, and the description text is the ultimate integration of all processes and results into a design description that is sufficient to fully describe.
The completed literary design should have the following conditions:
1. A specific subject
2. Xiangli’s research content (substantiality)
3. Specific view or originality
4. The work achieves professional quality and completeness of professional training
研究所B組學程的宗旨在提供非建築本科大學畢業學士獲得建築專業訓練的機會，以期培育稱職而具備多樣專長素養的建築師。所有研習本學程的研究生除需修習完規定的建築設計課程與補修大學部相關專業技術課程外，尚需要在學程的最後階段完成論文設計始得結業。論文設計也是研究生展現建築專業訓練成果的機會。
The Institute's Organization B Program aims to provide opportunities for non-architecture undergraduate bachelors to obtain professional architecture training in order to cultivate professional architects with a variety of professional and professional care. In addition to completing the prescribed architecture design course and the professional technical courses related to the remedial university department, all graduate students who study this course need to complete the literary design at the last stage of the course before they can complete the literary design.
