此課程以美國政治「理論」為經，美國政治「議題」為緯，議題將含括(但不限於)：增兵阿富汗、墮胎、胎盤研究，槍枝管制、教育改革、同性戀結婚、貧富差距、非法移民、仇恨性言論、弱勢族群政策、全球暖化議題等等。
儘管此課程以英語授課，對美國政治有興趣的同學，不必因為懼怕英文而不敢修習此課程，同學們對英文的理解能力不是課堂評分標準，評分依據仍以對此科目的理解為主。
This course takes the "theory" of American politics as its longitude and the "issues" of American politics as its latitude. The topics will include (but are not limited to): troop surge in Afghanistan, abortion, placenta research, gun control, education reform, gay marriage, and wealth gap. , illegal immigration, hate speech, policies for disadvantaged ethnic groups, global warming issues, etc.
Although this course is taught in English, students who are interested in American politics do not need to be afraid of taking this course because they are afraid of English. Students' understanding of English is not the class grading criterion, and the grading basis is still based on their understanding of this subject.
