在統計方面，講授基本數量方法，包括敘述統計、相關分析、交叉分析、變異數分析、迴歸分析等方法，讓學生瞭解並具有撰寫論文之數量分析能力。

在資訊方面，本課程包括資訊科技應用及資訊決策兩方面，資訊科技應用方面將使學生具備善用資訊科技分析各類資料的能力，以實用為原則，包括(1)企業智慧系統與分析層級程序軟體，並搭配上機實作；(2)資料探勘及應用；(3)物聯網；而資訊決策將從理性決策與決策偏誤方面作探討。希望讓學生對資訊應用及對資訊決策有更一步的瞭解，進而提升實務應用能力。

In terms of statistics, basic quantitative methods are taught, including narrative statistics, correlation analysis, cross analysis, variation analysis, regression analysis and other methods, so that students can understand and have the quantitative analysis ability to write papers.

In terms of information, this course includes two aspects: information technology application and information decision-making. The information technology application aspect will equip students with the ability to make good use of information technology to analyze various types of data. Based on the principle of practicality, it includes (1) enterprise intelligence systems and analysis-level program software, combined with computer implementation; (2) data exploration and application; (3) Internet of Things; and information decision-making will explore rational decision-making and decision-making errors. It is hoped that students will have a better understanding of information application and information decision-making, thereby improving their practical application abilities.

現今對統計的理解、研究和應用，已擴展到各個領域，一般人利用統計訊息在日常生活中作出各種抉擇，制定將來的計畫。為了能對所有有效的訊息正確的理解和應用，人們有必要掌握一定的統計知識。本課程介紹分析資料的統計方法，著重在應用部分而非數理統計方面，因此，只需要一些基本的統計和電腦知識即可修習。由於Excel相當普及，又有部份統計功能，因此本課程的分析報告以Excel軟體應用為主要工具。

Today's understanding, research and application of statistics have expanded to various fields. Most people use statistical information to make various decisions in daily life and formulate future plans. In order to correctly understand and apply all valid information, it is necessary for people to master certain statistical knowledge. This course introduces statistical methods for analyzing data, focusing on the applied part rather than mathematical statistics. Therefore, only some basic statistical and computer knowledge is required to take it. Since Excel is quite popular and has some statistical functions, the analysis report in this course uses Excel software application as the main tool.
