For example, ion channels function to initiate, transmit, and terminate electrical activity in nerve and muscle cells. In other non-excitable cells, ion channels also regulate many key physiological processes, such as the reabsorption of water in the renal tubules, the release of insulin from the pancreatic islet gland, the process of egg fertilization, and the development of immune cells. The goal of this course is to enable students to gradually acquire the ability to independently operate instruments and equipment through the reading of research literature, group discussions, and experimental operations, as well as to acquire the latest physiology, pathology, and translational medicine in the fields related to ion channel research. basic knowledge to serve as a foundation for advanced researchers.
