生命倫理學是20世紀70年代所興起的一門新學科。儘管發展的歷史短暫，但與生命倫理學有關的事情，卻是我們日常生活中經常會碰觸到的課題(報章雜誌、新聞媒體時常可以看到像器官移植、基因工程、人工生殖等課題的討論)。如果說科技始終來自於人性，那麼面臨生物科技的進步(特別是在醫學方面)對傳統倫理學所帶來的挑戰，如何道德地對待生命，就成了我們所必須積極面對的課題，也是生命倫理學所要教導我們的。本課程將由兩位老師分別針對東西方哲學對生命倫理學相關課題所提出的觀點引導學生進行探討。透過這樣的方式，使學生能以更廣闊地視角來對生命倫理學相關課題進行反思。

Life ethics is a new subject that emerged in the 1970s. Although the history of development is short, things related to life ethics are topics that we often encounter in our daily lives (discussions such as organ transplantation, genetic engineering, artificial reproduction, etc. can be seen in newspapers and media). If we say that technology always comes from human nature, then facing the challenges brought by the advancement of biotechnology (especially in medicine) to traditional ethics, how to treat life morally becomes a subject that we must face and is also what life ethics needs to teach us. This course will be conducted by two teachers to explore the students who guide their views on life ethics related to the topics of East and Western Philosophy. In this way, students can reflect on the subjects of life ethics from a broader perspective.
