本課程一開始從我們地球所處的太陽系講起，由主宰我們生活的太陽開始介紹太陽系中的各個成員，太陽、八大行星、海王星外天體的提出、發展與爭議，彗星與流星。之後會提到跟我們最密切的日、地、月三者對地球所造成的影響：曆法。上半學期應該也會介紹到可以觀測遠方也但也等於觀測過去的工具：望遠鏡。
講完太陽系之後，會繼續介紹太陽系以外的世界：銀河與銀河中其他的成員。除了恆星之外，銀河中還有許多孕育恆星的星雲以及恆星死亡後的遺骸，課程將以星空中常見的成員之間的前後關係串連起恆星一生的演化過程。課程最後將會介紹到對宇宙中最小的物質結構基本粒子-的研究與對最大的宇宙得研究之間有何密切關係，以及人類目前對於尋找地球以外的生命有什麼想法與進展。

本課程期中筆試佔總分30％，期末筆試佔40％，星座辨識實測佔30％。點名採抽點方式，缺課一次扣總成績2分。學期開始第一堂課缺課同學將直接予以退選將名額騰出給候補同學。

Students who know how to be human and cannot attend classes normally should not take this course.

This course starts with the solar system in which our earth is located. Starting from the sun that dominates our lives, we introduce the various members of the solar system, the proposal, development and controversy of the sun, the eight planets, trans-Neptune celestial bodies, comets and meteors. Later, we will mention the impact that the sun, earth, and moon, the three most closely related to us, have on the earth: the calendar. In the first half of the semester, we should also introduce a tool that can observe the distance but also the past: the telescope.
After talking about the solar system, we will continue to introduce the world outside the solar system: the Milky Way and other members of the Milky Way. In addition to stars, there are many nebulae that gave birth to stars and the remains of stars after their death in the Milky Way. The course will connect the evolution process of stars through the relationship between common members in the starry sky. At the end of the course, the course will introduce the close relationship between the study of the smallest elementary particles of material structure in the universe and the study of the largest universe, as well as the current thoughts and progress of human beings in searching for life beyond the earth.

The midterm written test of this course counts for 30% of the total score, the final written test counts for 40%, and the constellation identification practical test counts for 30%. Roll call will be done by drawing points, and 2 points will be deducted from the total grade for each absence. Students who are absent from the first class at the beginning of the semester will be directly withdrawn from the class and their seats will be released to alternate students.
