Course Target

Critical thinking is a special way of thinking in humans, and its application range is very wide. This course will guide students to understand this special rational ability by using the critical thinking mode in logical reasoning to guide students to understand the operation and effectiveness of this special rational ability. This course will design all the learning and writing of critical thinking and logical theory under the following two course objectives: 1. First of all, this course will lead students to observe and think about the most core argumentative structure that exists in logical recommendations. This course will be studied by the theoretical and practical aspects at the same time, so that students can not only understand the theory of formal logic, but also see in detail the true structure of a logical recommendation, as well as the specific occurrence and operation process of the operation, and achieve its validity effect. 2. Secondly, this course will guide students to understand the operating principles and regulations when formal logic and non-formal logic are recommended through the learning of theoretical discussion and practice; and during the operation process, guide students to think critically. The biggest feature of formal logic thinking is how to deduce the concluding "necessary truth" or "true to a very strong degree" in a correct form through a given set of premises and citations of appropriate recommendation rules. Therefore, in the recommendation operation of formal logic, all recommendation operations focus on the relationship between the formal layer between the topics, and do not involve rational operators and actions. However, in the fields of human real life, such as daily communication, courts, medicine, business, politics, and even scientific research, and logical calculations within artificial intelligence, the application and specifications of relevant recommendations, the process of launching conclusions and the relevant conditions for drawing conclusions do not completely cover the normative principles of formal logic. To a considerable extent, it requires a critical thinking ability of the subject, and the evaluation principles of the evidence must also cover some non-formal principles. Related domain research was officially named "No formal logic" or "critical thinking" in the 1970s. Based on the above investigation, this course hopes to introduce students to their understanding and to individually understand the characteristics of formal and non-formal logic, as well as the correct and valid principles or benefits evaluation principles of the recommendations. The course will introduce various important logical recommendation types and principles to make them correct and effective based on the development of logical history. The critical characteristics of these thinking operations will be discussed during the course. I believe that through a period of learning, students should be able to learn the basic knowledge of logical reasoning and pray that they can develop into the habit of critical logical thinking of students.
