中國音樂史是以華夏為中心的中國文化,以漢族為中心,同時兼容並蓄於鄰近族群的涵容。「音樂」是它主要的載體,「時間」是其發展的重要動脈,如同一幅綿延不斷的歷史卷軸,環環相互扣連,每一個朝代的音樂形式與風格,皆相互的傳承與影響;音樂史的課程分成兩種形式,一類是以時間的段代為鋪陳,敘述音樂風格與型態的各類發展,「史觀」為其著重的方向,另一類則以音樂型態為分類,論述在時間洪流中的分段衍化與歷史脈絡,「形式觀」則是課程重點,本學期將以這兩種方法論,交叉驗證於中國音樂的形式與風格。
本課程為大學部之學年課程,分為上下學期講授。上學期講授範圍為遠古至隋唐時期的燕樂大曲,下學期講授範圍為宋元明清的戲曲至近代。第一學期課程著重從遠古至隋唐的音樂歷史脈絡的釐清,從物質文化的遺跡中,考述音樂的多元發展,深入淺出地,刻畫春秋至隋唐五代中,中國音樂的流變與演進,最後集大成於兼容語彙之「燕樂大曲」,為即將承接的「戲曲」年代鋪陳備蓄。
第二學期的課程著重於「宋、元、明、清」四個朝代,音樂承接自隋、唐、五代的民歌、曲子與燕樂歌舞等眾多養份,發展至宋朝之後,形式轉往結合多元藝術型態的戲劇,並且越漸成熟、發揚至極,成為中國音樂最重要的標記,例如從民歌類型的中國各地方言與聲腔,結合故事段本和身段動作,逐漸形成地方戲曲,直至今日,成為中國音樂最引人注目的篇章;本課程將深入淺出,探討中國音樂史的各項音樂型類與縱深,以期完整釐清與建立音樂史學的通盤架構和發展。
本課程除了對中國音樂文化的介紹,也將領域擴及至歷史上經由通商或征戰等緣故,與中國交融之東亞、北亞、中亞與東南亞等區域音樂的喜好與了解,企圖完整建立中國音樂的審美進程與層次脈絡,進一步體驗不同社會時代的生活文化與藝術價值。Chinese music history is a Chinese culture centered on Huaxia, with Han ethnic group as the center, and is compatible and embraces the inclusion of neighboring ethnic groups. "Music" is its main body, and "time" is an important movement in its development. It is like a continuous historical volume, with rings interlocking each other. The music forms and styles of each dynasty are mutually inherited and influenced by each dynasty. The course of music history is divided into two forms, one is to use the segments of time as the decent. Describe the development of music styles and patterns, "historical view" is its focus. The other category is classified by music styles, discussing the segmented evolution and historical connections in the torrent of time. "formal view" is the focus of the course. This period will be discussed in these two methods, cross-verification of the form and style of Chinese music.
This course is the annual course of the university department and is divided into lectures during the upper and lower school periods. In the first period, the scope of the Yanle songs from ancient times to the Sui and Tang dynasties, and in the next period, the scope of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties to modern times. The first course focuses on the purview of the historical structure of music from ancient times to the Sui and Tang dynasties, and from the perspective of material culture, it examines the diverse development of music, penetrates into the clear place, carves the transformation and evolution of Chinese music from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and finally compiles the "Yanle Daqu" which is compatible with the philosophical "Yanle Daqu", which is the era of "The Song" that will be inherited.
The course in the second period focused on the four dynasties of "Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties". Music inherited the richness of folk songs, songs, Yanle songs and dances from the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties. After the development to the Song Dynasty, the form turned to dramas that combine diverse artistic styles, and became more mature and developed to the extreme, becoming the most important mark of Chinese music, such as The Chinese dialect and voice of folk songs combine the story and character movements to gradually form local songs, and to this day, it has become the most eye-catching chapter of Chinese music; this course will be thoroughly drawn, exploring the various music types and depths of Chinese music history, in order to completely clear and establish a comprehensive structure and development of music history.
In addition to introducing Chinese music culture, this course will also expand its scope to the historical process of musical preferences and understanding of the East Asia, North Asia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia that blend with China, and aim to fully establish the aesthetic process and level link of Chinese music, and further experience the life culture and artistic value of different social eras.
