教育目標 Course Target

本課程為社會系大四最後一門必修課,歷來不同的授課老師對課程主軸的界定相當多元。舉例來說,我就曾以「浪漫愛的系譜學考察」、「產業發展與全球化」、「從文學看歷史」等作為課程主題。本學期的主軸,則將以「個人的、社會的,與歷史的」之視野,以台灣的社會發展史作為主軸,並兵分兩路,一方面以台灣現代性中之政治民主轉型作為宏觀大歷史敘事;另一方面,則佐以個人生命敘事以家族史溯源作為小敘事。將兩者對張互襯、搓揉,相互鑲嵌,彼此形構。企能同時兼顧社會學向來關懷的幾個核心議題:「個人vs.社會」、「微觀vs.宏觀」、「能動性vs.結構」。 本課程將從政治社會學和歷史社會學的視野,系統性地介紹台灣的威權政體民主轉型的過程,以及族群及國族認同問題的歷史糾葛。在歷史的縱深上,我們將從1945-49年的二二八事件及後殖民經驗談起,經過1950-1960年代的白色恐怖與國民黨威權統治體制的確立,70年代的威權控制鬆動與反撲,然後有80年代民間社會的復甦和政治自由化,到90年代多元社會的初步形構,迄今邁入二十一世紀政黨輪替的台灣社會總體民主化過程。我們將深入探討民主轉型及國族主義的各種理論,作為我們理解當代台灣現代性的政治形構的線索。主要的學習目的,是將我們的分析視野拓展到政治轉型與整體社會的結構脈動之間的相應關係,以及探討一個社會朝向民主改革的歷史軌跡。本課程也將討論,在台灣邁向後威權之後,所面臨的民主深化及分歧的國族認同所面臨的艱鉅的歷史挑戰。This course is the last compulsory course for seniors in the Social Science Department. Different teaching teachers have a variety of definitions of course main axes. For example, I have used "Romantic Departmental Study", "Professional Development and Globalization", and "Looking at History from Literature" as the course themes. The main axes of this period will take the "personal, social, and historical" vision, take the history of social development in Taiwan as the main axes, and divide the troops into two ways. On the one hand, the political democratic transformation in Taiwan's modernity is used as a grand historical event; on the other hand, the personal life events are used to trace the origin of family history as a minor event. The two are tied and rubbed, embedded in each other, and formed each other. Enterprises can also focus on several core topics that have always been concerned about in social science: "Personal vs. Society", "Microscopic vs. Macro", and "Energy vs. Structure". This course will systematically introduce the democratic transformation of Taiwan's authoritarian politics and historical issues from the perspective of political and social sciences, as well as the historical relevance of ethnic and national identities. In the depth of history, we will discuss from the February 28th Incident in 1945-49 and post-colonial experience, after the establishment of the white terror in the 1950s and 1960s and the national party’s authoritarian system, the 1970s, the 1980s and the 1990s, and then the revival and political liberalization of the private society in the 1980s, and the initial structure of the multi-society society, and so far, it has entered the process of general democratization of Taiwan’s society, which has replaced the 21st century political party. We will explore the various theoretical arguments of democratic reversal and nationalism as a thread to our understanding of the modern political structure of contemporary Taiwan. The main purpose of learning is to expand our analytical perspective to the corresponding relationship between political transformation and the structural movement of the overall society, and to explore a historical story of society towards democratic reform. This course will also discuss the deepening of democracy and the differences in the nations faced by Taiwan’s post-authoritarian authority.
