德性倫理學(virtue ethics)強調以善的價值(the good)重於對的權利(the right), 此可彌補以權利為主的倫理學(right-based ethics)之缺失, 它主張成就「是一個什麼樣的人」(to be a person)所具備的人格品行的倫理學(character-based ethics / agent-based ethics), 所謂對的行動是指有德性的人(virtuous person)在相同的情境下所做的行動(right act)。課程具體的目標在反省深思遠慮(prudence), 誠實盡責(fidelity), 正義公平(justice), 感同身受(empathy)等品德的內涵與生活實踐。Virtue ethics emphasizes the good value over the right, which can be supplemented by the lack of right-based ethics. It actively achieves character-based ethics / agent-based ethics, which refers to the right act of virtuous person in the same situation. The specific goals of the course are to reflect on the connotation of morality and life practice such as long-term thinking, dedication, justice, empathy and other moral connotations.
