透過分組討論及個別指導學生研讀西洋哲學專題(道德教育)相關原典，以加強其撰寫專題論文的能力。

Through group discussions and individual guidance, students will study relevant original texts on Western philosophy topics (moral education) to enhance their ability to write topic papers.

本課之目的在讓哲學系學士班同學在經過數年的哲學基礎訓練後，能在西洋哲學之專題上對所學的內容與方法作綜合的應用，即就哲學的一個專題來閱讀與思考，並寫成報告，可以為日後進一步的研究奠定基礎。西洋哲學的專題包括：（1）希臘哲學；（2）中世紀哲學；（3）英國經驗論；（4）歐陸理性論；（5）德國觀念論；（6）當代英美哲學；（7）當代歐陸哲學。授課教師可就任一專題設計課題程。

The purpose of this course is to enable students in the bachelor's degree class of the Department of Philosophy to comprehensively apply the content and methods they have learned on a topic in Western philosophy after several years of basic training in philosophy. That is, to read and think about a topic in philosophy and write a report, which can lay the foundation for further research in the future. Topics in Western philosophy include: (1) Greek philosophy; (2) Medieval philosophy; (3) British empiricism; (4) Continental rationalism; (5) German idealism; (6) Contemporary British and American philosophy; (7) Contemporary Continental philosophy. Teachers can design courses for any topic.
