1. Clearly grasp the general principles of Buddhism in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties.
2. Clearly grasp the Confucian schools and characteristics of the new Confucianism of the Song and Ming dynasties.

本課程講述中國哲學史，從魏晉玄學到清代哲學為止。內容包括：(一)魏晉玄學：主要是道家玄理，主要人物有王弼、何晏、阮籍、郭象、向秀等人。(二)隋唐佛學：主要是中國佛學之天台、華嚴、禪宗。(三)宋明理學：主要是程朱理學、陸王心學和劉蕺山思想。(四)清代哲學：方以智、顧炎武、黃宗羲、王船山、戴震等人的思想。

This course describes the history of Chinese philosophy, from Wei Xuan to Qing Dynasty philosophy. Contents include: (1) Wei Han Xuanxue: mainly Taoist mysterious theory, and the main characters include Wang Bi, He Yan, Ruan Ji, Guo Xiang, Xiang Xiu and others. (2) Buddhist studies in the Sui and Tang Dynasties: mainly the Tiantai, Huajian and the Master of Chinese Buddhism. (III) Song and Ming Philosophy: Mainly Cheng and Zhu Philosophy, Shu Wang Xin and Liu Qishan thought. (IV) Philosophy of the Qing Dynasty: Fang Yizhi, Yanwu, Huang Zongxi, Wang Chuanshan, Dai Zhen and others' thoughts.
