本課程的主要目的是讓學生習得日本史之通史性的基礎知識，亦培養學生能透過較宏觀的思考與觀察掌握日本史之時代特徵與文化特質，並能了解近世以來的日本與東亞及世界的互動關係。
The main purpose of this course is to enable students to gain basic knowledge of general Japanese history, and to cultivate students to master the dynasty and cultural characteristics of Japanese history through more macro thinking and observation, and to understand the interaction between Japan and East Asia and the world in modern times.
