本課程教材分為古代、中世、近世、近現代進行。課程內容中透過,概論介紹培養學生擁有正確的日本歷史文化概念。學習討論,思辨文化的變遷和影響。文化比較,思考和周遭各國的文化交流所形成的日本文化特色,加深學生對於日本的印象,幫助學員對於日本文化史的通盤了解。課程加入日本各時代社會以參考書籍文獻、圖像、藝術文物等輔助教學,希望從探索文化中所形成的日本思惟加深對日本古今社會的認識。以日本歷史為主軸講解日本文化藝術的觀點概論。日本從古至今和外國的交流文化與現代社會有著密不可分的關係,古代的文化思想,風俗習慣,藝術仍影響著現代的日本人,並且影響全世界,本課程教學上也盡可能的融入日本現代的藝術與設計的內容讓學員感受無所不在的日本文化與現代生活的緊密關聯性。課堂中希望學員從日本的文化,思考自己所擁有文化的價值與再創性。This course textbook is divided into ancient, medieval, modern and modern.
