明清兩代是中國最後的兩個傳統王朝，明代制度頗為宏遠且有創意，清代又沿襲明制，兩代合計544年，下接近現代，是研究近代中國的基準面。探討兩代在政治、經濟、社會、文化、思想的內涵及其演變，對近現代中國各方面的瞭解，有莫大助益，而後中國的走向，也可以從明清兩代歷史的進程中，窺見其端倪。

The two dynasties in the Ming and Qing dynasties were the last two traditional dynasties in China. The Ming Dynasty was grand and creative. The Qing Dynasty followed the Ming system. The two dynasties combined with 544 years, which is close to modern times, which is the basis for studying modern China.
