荀子的思想，長久以來，有些地構可以說或多或少為學者所誤解，如性惡說、非子思、孟子等等；而後世雖孟、荀並稱，但荀子在儒學的天地裏，地位似乎始終不及孟子，凡此，總得尋求一個合理的解釋。今透過閱讀荀子重要篇章，理解荀子一書的內容、思想特色，及其在儒學中應有的地位。授課的主要內容：就荀子的主要思想，如：天、性、心、禮、政治、教育、正名等面向作系統性的論述。教學目標是期望同學能對各面向的課題，作多層面、多角度的探討，培養拓展其在思想上具備更靈活、細緻、深入的思考模式，為應該日後詭譎多變的社會環境、時代局勢做好妥善的準備。

For a long time, some aspects of Xunzi's thought can be said to be more or less misunderstood by scholars, such as the theory of evil nature, Fei Zisi, Mencius, etc.; and although Mencius and Xunzi were both called Mencius and Xunzi in later generations, Xunzi's status in the world of Confucianism seems to have always been inferior to that of Mencius. For this, a reasonable explanation must be sought. Today, by reading important chapters of Xunzi, we can understand the content, ideological characteristics, and its due position in Confucianism. The main content of the lecture: a systematic discussion of Xunzi's main thoughts, such as nature, nature, heart, etiquette, politics, education, rectification of names, etc. The teaching goal is to hope that students can conduct multi-level and multi-angle discussions on various topics, cultivate and expand their thinking patterns to be more flexible, detailed and in-depth, and be properly prepared for the unpredictable and ever-changing social environment and contemporary situations in the future.
