0482 - 環境倫理學概論 Introduction to Environmental Ethics


教育目標 Course Target

一、認識影響環境倫理的因素(經濟學、社會學、生態學); 二、培養個人對於環境的良好對認知(環境正義、資源利用); 三、關注環境相關的議題和時事,了解其發生的原因和不同立場的衝突; 四、肩負地球公民的責任,落實永續發展的理念。人類以人本精神或為生存、或為利益去駕馭自然世界,形成認為「人定勝天」的行為以凸顯人類的勝利,直到大自然反撲、天災頻遽,人類始意識到其破壞自然在先,造成浩劫在後之互為因果關係。人類是自然環境中最大的破壞者;近年來,氣候變遷、酸雨、臭氧層破壞等現象,都是因為人類沒有節制的經濟活動與工業發展,使得地球的環境遭受嚴重破壞,資源被過度消耗自然的自淨,能力失去作用所致。鑒於近來環保議題與個人和社會生活越趨息息相關,人類應培養環境倫理的公民素養之目標:「促進國民瞭解個人及社會與環境的相互依存關係,增進全民環境倫理與責任,進而維護環境生態平衡、尊重生命、促進社會正義,培養環境公民與環境學習社群,以達到永續發展」,為使學生對氣候變遷所造成的各種議題有所關注,並重新審視人類對於環境的態度,以及試圖發展自我面對環境劇烈變化的方式,規劃本課程。 本課程著重在讓學生探討如何適當關懷、重視,並且履行我們保護自然環境之責的理論與實務做法。環境倫理學是以倫理學探討環境問題的學問,屬於應用倫理學的其中一種,並且也是環境哲學的其中一項探討的領域,是對於環境問題從不同的立場來分析行為的學問。從以往單以人類為中心的倫理學延伸到包含自然環境的倫理哲學,其中探討領域常包含法律、社會學、宗教、經濟、生態、地理等。以環境為中心的道德倫理探討,環境倫理學的主要種類:永續發展(Sustainable development)、環境倫理學(Environmental ethics)、自然主義倫理學(Naturalistic ethics)、人本主義倫理學(Humanistic ethics)、生物中心主義(Biocentrism)、深層生態學(Deep ecology)、價值論環境倫理學(Axiological environmental ethics)、生物地域主義(Bioregionalism)、生態女性主義(Biofeminism)等。First, to understand the factors that affect environmental ethics (economics, sociology, ecology); Second, to cultivate individuals' good perception of the environment (environmental justice, resource utilization); Third, pay attention to environmental issues and current events to understand its causes and conflicts of different positions; Fourth, shoulder the responsibility of the citizens of the earth and implement the concept of sustainable development. This course focuses on enabling students to explore how to properly care for, value, and fulfill our theory and practice of protecting the natural environment. Environmental ethics is an ethics-based approach to environmental problems. It belongs to one of the areas of applied ethics and is also one of the areas explored in environmental philosophy. It is also a study of behavior from a different standpoint on environmental issues. Extend from the previous single-anthropocentric ethical philosophy of ethics to contain the natural environment in which to explore areas often include legal, social, religious, economic, ecological and geography.
