教育目標 Course Target

課程目標: 1.本課程著重於培養同學們透析世界歷史發展趨勢與特質的能力,祈能建立一套解釋歷史觀來建構歷史脈絡,並評估世界歷史於未來的走向。 2. 希望能引導同學了解世界文明發展過程,並思考其歷史的演變,以「大歷史」的宏觀角度來看歷史,從而培養宏大的世界觀。 3. 訓練同學們獨立思考的能力、培養對人文世界的關懷,以建立理性與感性兼備之獨立人格。 4. 通過跨歷史、跨文化與跨社會的方法為背景來為學生闡述世界歷史的形成。 5. 透過引導誘發同學們批判性思考的能力,以及對歷史文化問題探索的興趣,從中學習如何發現問題、解決問題。 課程內涵: 1.「世界」從個別地區、國家、文明的局部發展,到今天全球各地互相的連結、交往,這一切均有其物質、政經、思潮,以及社會、文化的脈絡。本課程透過人類文明起源到中世紀晚期世界的形成、變遷與發展的進程加以探討,希冀培育學生瞭解探討此世界發展的主要脈絡。 2.課程進行方式將以人類文明起源到中世紀晚期之世界史基礎知識與中英文相關文章的導讀、討論為主軸,輔以多媒體教學與隨堂討論、測驗和心得報告撰寫。期許同學詳讀指定閱讀資料、並搜尋相關輔助背景知識,建立組織與批判能力,同學間亦能適時於課堂討論中互相砥礪、激發思考,以對世界史知識有更深的瞭解與掌握。Course objectives: 1. This course focuses on cultivating students' ability to dialysis the trends and characteristics of the world history. It is hoped that a set of explanations of history will be established to construct a historical context and evaluate the future direction of world history. 2. We hope that we can guide our students to understand the process of world civilization development and reflect on the evolution of history. Looking at history from a macro perspective of "grand history," we hope that we can cultivate a grand world outlook. 3. Training students the ability to think independently, cultivate concern for the humanistic world in order to establish an independent personality that combines both reason and sensibility. 4. Describe the formation of world history for students through a cross-historical, cross-cultural and cross-social approach. 5. Learn how to find and solve problems by guiding students' ability to think critically and exploring their interest in historical and cultural issues. Course content: 1. "World" From the local development of individual regions, countries and civilizations to the interconnection and interaction between different countries in the world today, all have their material, political, economic and ideological trends as well as social and cultural contexts. This course explores the formation, evolution and development of the world from the origin of human civilization to the late Middle Ages in the hope of nurturing students to understand the main context in which the development of this world is discussed. 2. The mode of conducting the course will be based on the introduction of human civilization origins to the basic knowledge of the world history and the related articles in both English and Chinese in the late Middle Ages, with the discussion as the main axis, supplemented by multimedia teaching and quizzes, quizzes and experience reports. Students are expected to read the specified reading materials and search relevant supporting background knowledge to establish their organizational and critical skills. Students in the classroom can also promptly learn from each other in classroom discussions and stimulate their thinking in order to gain a better understanding of and master the knowledge of world history.
